Ultimately, bookkeepers ensure that the financial records of a business are complete, correct, backed up by appropriate documentation, and maintained in an organized system, helping the business to easily access, understand, and share critical financial information for decision-making, business planning, tax preparation and more.

Marianne Beane brings over two decades of extensive experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll to her role as the lead bookkeeper at Ignite Business Services.

Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Bryant University and a Masters degree in Business Education from Temple University, Marianne has honed her expertise through a diverse array of professional experiences. She has worked with prestigious firms like KPMG, LLC, as well as wide range of smaller clients, including small businesses, nonprofits, churches, and municipal government entities.

Marianne's commitment to excellence is underscored by her continuous pursuit of knowledge and professional development. She holds a variety of industry certifications, including Accounting Fundamentals, Financial Analysis Fundamentals, and Financial Planning Principles from the Corporate Finance Institute, as well as a Quickbooks Online Certified Bookkeeper credential from Intuit Academy. Additionally, Marianne is certified in Nonprofit Financial Management Essentials by Nonprofit Ready, reflecting her dedication to serving diverse clientele with precision and expertise.

    Experience peace of mind with our Basic Bookkeeping Plan. With this plan, your dedicated Ignite Bookkeeper will help ensure your financial records are organized and accurately managed. The plan includes categorization of transactions, monthly account reconciliation, periodic financial reports, and a monthly 30-minute virtual check in.

    Services Include:

    Review and Categorize Monthly Transactions

    Categorize monthly transactions imported through accounting software.

    Record & categorize any transactions which cannot be imported by software; transaction data entered as evidenced by receipts/invoices and/or bank statements; includes cash transactions accompanied by receipts/invoices.

    Attach digital copies of receipts to all transactions in accounting software.

    Monthly Account Reconciliation

    Reconcile monthly bank & credit card statements w/ transaction history provided by financial institution

    Record adjusting entries as needed

    Reconcile vendor accounts w/Invoices, PO's, and Accounts Payable Activity

    If applicable, reconcile inventory w/sales; update Cost of Goods/Services Sold.

    Generation of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Reports:

Building on the offerings in our Standard Bookkeeping Package, this plan includes service upgrades like a custom Google spreadsheet for easy transaction recording, assistance with branded invoices and receipts, 2 hours of direct communication with your dedicated bookkeeper, full audit assistance, and year-end organization and preparation of client records to make taxes a breeze.

    Services Include:

    ALL services in Standard Bookkeeping Package

    Premium Monthly Service Upgrades:

    Set up branded invoices and receipts for client through Bookkeeping Software.

    Prep and send Invoices on behalf of client (client must provide requisite information). Includes both one-time and recurring invoices.

    Update prepaid expense and expense accrual accounts.

    Enter periodic closing and adjusting entries (fixed assets, depreciation etc) as recommended by client's accountant.

    Upload and categorize all invoices/receipts and other financial record documents; clients simply upload image or pdf of these documents; Ignite will handle all other required action and activity.

    Establish and maintain back-up electronic filing system for invoices, receipts, and other financial transaction documentation in Google Drive. Includes establishing file naming and organization protocol and providing client access to electronic document storage.

    Generation & Reporting of Business Performance Ratios (monthly, quarterly, annually) : Gross Margin, Operating (EBIT) Margin, Net Margin; Current Ratio, Quick Ratio.

    Develop Custom Google Spreadsheet to track all income and expense transactions; provides additional reconciliation for all account balances and Chart of Accounts totals & an additional layer of assurance that all transactions have been properly recorded and categorized.

    60-minute Monthly Check-in Meeting:

    Review Financial Statements, Financial Ratios, & address client questions.

    In-person for clients within 1.5 hour drive of Ignite office; virtual for all other clients.

    60-minutes of phone consultation (rounded to nearest minute) to address client needs between monthly meetings.

    Generate other reports as requested and/or needed.

    Year end organization and preparation of client records for accountant and/or tax preparation needs.

    Full Audit Assistance: In the event a client business is audited, Ignite will ensure your assigned bookkeeper is available to prep requested reports, compile, organize and transmit documentation/records, accept phone calls and emails, answer questions, attend meetings with the auditor (virtually, if client business more than 1.5 hour drive from Ignite office), and keep client informed of audit process and progress.

    Our comprehensive payroll service is designed to make payroll a breeze! You provide the timesheets and we'll handle the rest: from collecting and organizing required payroll documents to running payroll and filing tax returns, we'll manage every aspect of your payroll administration efficiently and accurately. Our services include direct deposit setup, payroll tax filing, and providing detailed payroll reports and employee paystubs, ensuring compliance and transparency in all payroll processes.

    Additional $5.00 monthly processing fee, per employee applies

    Client MUST be enrolled in Quickbooks Online with Payroll

    Collect, Organize, Input, and digital storage of Required Payroll Documents:

    Run payroll; draft direct deposit: weekly, biweekly, bi-monthly, or monthly

    Schedule payment from Employer Account for Payroll Taxes:

    FICA (IRS: Social Security & Medicare taxes - employer and employee)

    FUTA (Federal Unemployment Tax)

    PA Income Tax (PA Department of Revenue)

    PA SUI (Pennsylvania Unemployment Tax)

    Local Earned Income Taxes (EIT) and Local Services Taxes (LST)

    Provide Payroll Report w/detail & instructions for funds to reserve for Payroll Taxes

    Provide copies of Employee Paystubs

    Standard hourly rate: $150.000/hour

    Discounted hourly rate: $100.00/hour (when purchasing prepaid bundle of 10 + hours).

    Services Include:

    Review all business financial records, bank statements, borrowing and loan statements.

    Inspect all income and expense transactions, comparing to actual transactions reflected in account statements and cash ledgers.

    Amend transactions as needed to reflect corrections.

    Run corrected annual financial reports:

    Profit & Loss Statement

    Balance Sheet

    Cash Flows Statement.

    Recommend other corrective actions, if needed, such as Amending Tax Returns.

    Establish Standard Operating Procedures for future accounting/bookkeeping entries.

    For example, creating purchase orders, maintaining inventory, generating invoices, maintaining records for accounts payable & accounts receivable, reporting customer payments, recording expenses, protocol for maintaining records of expenses including invoices & receipts, conventions for file naming and storage in Google Drive etc…
